Decaying Bell is an album recorded with the help of Chris Bolton, Kishore Ryan and Samaan Fieck playing various instruments and Hazel Brown singing harmonies. Joe Fairburn engineered, Felicity Cripps was a songwriting consultant.

It was recorded live, over the course of a week. The musicians were given non-musical instructions to guide their playing. The instructions were based on things read in books about the physical world.
